How to remove a Retweeted Tweet

Have you ever Retweeted something on Twitter and regretted it? Maybe you have multiple accounts such as a personal account and a business account and you were using the wrong account when you clicked the Retweet button. The solution is simple, this will not take the Retweet back but it will keep the Tweet from showing up in your Tweet history on your Twitter profile page.
  1. Locate the Retweeted Tweet .
  2. Look for the highlighted Retweet button, the button is two green arrows.
  3. Tap the Retweet button to un-highlight it so it goes back to a gray color Retweet.

This works the exact same way across the board no matter if you are using a mobile app, a desktop app or if you are accessing Twitter via your browser.

Now it will not change the fact that whoever follows you might have seen the Retweet appear in their stream when you initially Retweeted the post but it will no longer show up on your Twitter profile page.
